A different kind of relationship app

Private by design, without turning closeness into data.

Near gives two people a mutual place to reach each other with a Light, a few words, or a Postcard. It does not add a feed, a streak, a location map, a closeness score, or a company account around the relationship.

What stays out

Near is not a dashboard for another person.

No monitoring

No last seen, response-time pressure, location map, mood map, or hidden activity score.

No engagement mechanics

No streaks, points, missed-day states, relationship ranks, or prompts that make silence feel like failure.

No advertising profile

No Near account, ad tech, third-party analytics, or general company backend is required for the core experience.

What actually moves

Only the thing you chose to send.

Reach is deliberate. A person receives the Light, line, voice, photo, or Postcard you reviewed and sent to them. Your private Hold is not ambient relationship data and does not quietly flow into someone else's view.

One-to-one stays one-to-one.

Near does not build followers, groups, public profiles, or a cross-person feed around your relationships.

Not only for couples

Use Near with the person you actually mean to reach.

A partner, close friend, sibling, parent, or someone else you trust can each have a separate private bond with you. Near does not infer which bond is most important from app opens, reply speed, frequency, or private content.

That makes Near useful when you want relationship technology to help you act on care without asking for access to the rest of the relationship.

Apple-native core

Built around the Apple devices you already own.

Near is designed for iPhone and Apple Watch and uses Apple's private infrastructure for the core experience. Private continuity stays inside your Apple ecosystem; deliberate reaches go to the person you chose.
